Terms of Use

Last updated 30 October 2026

The agreement between you and Prediqon: who can take part, how challenges and prizes work, and what happens when something goes wrong.

1. About these terms

Prediqon is operated by Striderk LTD (RC8043624), of 5 Rex Grafics Street, Karu, Abuja, Nigeria (“Prediqon”, “we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between you and us. By creating an account or using the platform, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Prediqon.

They should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with your personal data, and with the rules published on each individual challenge, which apply in addition to these terms.

Where the rules on a specific challenge conflict with these terms, the challenge’s own published rules govern that challenge — those are the terms you agreed to when you entered it.

2. Who can use Prediqon

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be legally able to enter a contract, and not barred from using a service like this under any law that applies to you.
  • You must give us accurate details, and keep them accurate. Entering someone else’s details, or details you have invented, is a breach of these terms.
  • One person, one account. Accounts are personal to you and may not be sold, shared, transferred or operated on your behalf by anyone else.
  • Our staff, and their immediate families, may not enter challenges for prizes.

Entering a paid challenge requires additional verification, which we carry out. A new account cannot enter a paid challenge until that check has been completed, and we may ask you for documents to confirm your identity or age before approving it. We may decline, and we may withdraw an approval if the basis for it turns out to be wrong.

3. Your account

You are responsible for everything done through your account. Use a password you have not used anywhere else, keep it to yourself, and tell us promptly at support@prediqon.ng if you think someone else has reached your account.

We cannot read or recover your password — we store only a one-way hash of it — so if you lose it you will need to reset it by email.

You can close your account at any time from your profile. Closing it does not cancel entries already accepted into challenges that have not yet resolved, and does not by itself entitle you to a refund of an entry fee.

4. How Prediqon works

  • We write the challenges. Every challenge is curated and published by Prediqon. Users cannot create challenges or set their terms.
  • Predictions are blind. You cannot see other entrants’ answers before you submit, and they cannot see yours. Aggregate figures are only ever shown where the challenge says so.
  • One entry per challenge. You get one accepted prediction per challenge. Once it is accepted it cannot be changed or withdrawn.
  • Entries close at the published time. Each challenge shows its closing time in West Africa Time. Anything not accepted by then does not count, whatever the reason — including a payment that had not completed.
  • The rules are visible before you enter. Each challenge publishes its resolution source, its cancellation policy, what happens if nobody is correct, and its dispute window, before you commit to it.
  • Published terms are locked. When a challenge is published its wording, answer options and prize terms are frozen. We may correct an obvious typographical error, but we will never change a published challenge’s terms in a way that disadvantages people who have already entered.

Where two entries would otherwise rank equally, the earlier accepted entry takes precedence. For a paid challenge, an entry is accepted when your payment is confirmed — not when you chose your answer.

5. Free and paid challenges

Some challenges are free to enter and some carry an entry fee. Each challenge states which it is, and a paid challenge states its fee before you commit to anything.

Paid challenges, the rewards balance and withdrawals are only available where we have enabled them and where Nigerian law and any licensing that applies permit us to offer them. They may not be available to you, and they may be withdrawn or suspended. Nothing in these terms obliges us to offer paid play.

6. Entry fees and how prizes are worked out

A paid challenge has no prize that we fund. The reward comes from the entry fees the entrants paid, and those fees are shared out as follows once the challenge resolves.

Every correct prediction gets its entry fee back first. Only what is left after that — the fees of the entrants who were wrong — is commissioned and shared out. So a correct prediction never returns less than it cost. How much more it returns depends on how many entrants were wrong, and on how your accuracy score compares with the other winners’.

In order:

  • Every eligible entry fee for the challenge is counted together.
  • Each correct entry has its own entry fee returned to it in full.
  • Whatever remains is the surplus. We deduct our commission from the surplus only, never from the entry fees as a whole, and only when at least one entry is correct.
  • The rest is shared between the correct entries, weighted by each entrant’s accuracy score, so a stronger record earns a larger share of the same surplus.

The commission rate is disclosed on each paid challenge before you enter, and is frozen when the challenge is published. A later change to our standard rate cannot re-price a challenge you have already entered.

We cannot tell you what a prize will be worth before entries close, because it depends on how many people enter, how many are correct and what their scores are. Any figure shown before then is an estimate, not a promise.

7. How challenges are resolved

Each challenge names the source that will decide it before you enter, and where relevant the order of precedence between sources. We resolve against that source, not against what we or anyone else believes the outcome should have been.

A resolution is recorded by one member of our staff and reviewed by a different one before it is applied. Every resolution and every change to one is recorded in an audit trail that cannot be edited afterwards.

If the official result is itself revised after we resolve a challenge — a corrected scoreline, an overturned declaration — we may record a revised resolution superseding the first, and settle on the revised one. The original record and its evidence are kept. Where a challenge cannot be resolved against its source at all, we may declare it void and apply the policy published on it.

8. Cancellation and nobody correct

Every challenge publishes, before entry, what happens if it is cancelled and what happens if no eligible entry turns out to be correct. We apply the policy that was published on that challenge. The possibilities are:

  • No prize awarded. The challenge closes without a payout.
  • Everyone refunded. Entry fees are returned to all eligible entrants.
  • Rolled over. The entry fees carry into a successor challenge, which will say so.
  • Retained. The entry fees are retained by the platform, where the challenge said in advance that they would be.

We may cancel or void a challenge where the event does not happen, is abandoned or is rescheduled beyond its resolution deadline, where the named source becomes unavailable, where the challenge was published with an error that makes it unanswerable as written, or where the integrity of the challenge has been compromised.

9. Refunds

We refund an entry fee in these circumstances:

  • the challenge was cancelled;
  • a stated minimum number of entrants was not reached;
  • no entry was correct and the challenge’s published rule is to refund;
  • the challenge could not be resolved;
  • a dispute you raised was upheld and a refund is the remedy;
  • you were charged twice for the same entry.

Refunds go back to the account you paid from, through the same payment provider, and how long that takes is the provider’s and your bank’s to determine, not ours.

Outside these circumstances an entry fee is not refundable. In particular, changing your mind, mis-reading a challenge, or being wrong are not grounds for a refund.

10. If you think we got it wrong

You can dispute how a challenge was resolved, the source we used, the order in which entries were accepted, or a payment. Each challenge publishes its dispute window — 72 hours after resolution unless that challenge says otherwise. Raise it within that window; after it closes, the result stands.

Tell us what you think went wrong and why, and point to the evidence. We will review it, and a dispute is reviewed by someone other than the person whose decision is being questioned. We will tell you the outcome and the reason for it.

If a dispute is upheld we will put it right — by correcting the resolution and re-settling, by refunding, or by crediting what you should have received. Our decision at the end of that process is final as far as the platform is concerned, which does not take away any right you have to go to court or to a regulator.

11. Rewards and withdrawals

Prizes are credited to a rewards balance on your account. That balance is deliberately narrow, and it is not a wallet in the ordinary sense:

  • The only thing that pays into it is a prize, or the reversal of a withdrawal that failed. You cannot top it up.
  • The only thing that pays out of it is a withdrawal to your own bank account, or a correction we make and record.
  • It cannot be spent on entry fees, and it cannot be transferred to another user.
  • It is not a deposit, it earns no interest, and we are not a bank.

To withdraw, add a Nigerian bank account in your name. We ask your bank, through our payment provider, to confirm the name on the account before we will pay to it, and we will not pay to an account that is not yours. Every withdrawal is checked and approved by two different members of our staff before it is sent.

We may hold a withdrawal while we investigate a risk flag, a dispute or a suspected breach of these terms, and we may require further identity verification before releasing it. We may apply a minimum withdrawal amount and pass on the transfer fees our provider charges; both will be shown to you before you confirm.

Tax on rewards is yours to account for, not ours, unless the law requires us to deduct it.

12. Fair play

The product only works if results mean something. You must not:

  • open or use more than one account, or use anyone else’s;
  • use bots, scripts or any automation to browse, enter or submit;
  • coordinate entries with other accounts to cover outcomes between you or to influence how a challenge settles;
  • enter using information about the outcome that is not public, including information obtained through a position of trust;
  • take any step to influence the real-world event a challenge is about;
  • interfere with the platform, probe it for weaknesses, or try to reach data or accounts that are not yours;
  • scrape the platform, or re-publish our challenges or data commercially without our permission;
  • use Prediqon for money laundering or any unlawful purpose.
A prediction that breaches these rules can be disqualified even if it turned out to be correct, and disqualified entries take no share of a prize. Where we disqualify an entry or withhold a prize we will tell you why, and you can dispute it.

13. Suspension and closing accounts

We may suspend or close your account, hold a balance, or withhold a prize if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we need to while we investigate. Where we can, we will tell you first; where we cannot, we will tell you as soon as we are able.

If we close your account and there is a balance you are properly entitled to, we will pay it to your verified bank account, less anything you owe us.

You can close your account yourself at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains what is deleted and what we must keep.

14. Content and intellectual property

Prediqon, its challenges, its text, its design and its software belong to us or to our licensors. You may use them to take part in the platform personally. You may not copy, republish, sell or build a competing service on them.

Anything you submit — a dispute, a support message, a suggestion — remains yours, but you give us permission to use it to run and improve the platform. If you send us an idea for Prediqon, we may use it without owing you anything for it.

15. Availability and changes to the platform

We do our best to keep Prediqon available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, including whole categories of challenge. Where a change affects a challenge you have already entered, we will apply that challenge’s published cancellation or no-winner rule rather than leaving you without a remedy.

16. Disclaimers

Prediqon is provided as it is. Beyond what these terms say, and beyond what the law gives you and cannot be excluded, we make no promises about the platform.

Challenges are about uncertain future events. Nothing on Prediqon is financial, investment or legal advice, and no challenge, figure or statistic on the platform is a prediction by us about what will happen. An entry fee is committed when your entry is accepted, and comes back to you only where section 9 says it does.

17. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that Nigerian law does not allow us to limit.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit or opportunity, for a prize you did not win, or for loss caused by something outside our reasonable control — including your internet connection, your device, your bank, or a payment provider’s outage.

Subject to the same, our total liability to you in connection with these terms is limited to the greater of the entry fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose, and ₦50,000.

18. Your indemnity to us

If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used Prediqon — because you broke these terms, broke the law, or infringed someone else’s rights — you agree to cover the loss, including reasonable legal costs, that the claim causes us.

19. Governing law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Prediqon, are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

If something goes wrong, raise it with us first at support@prediqon.ng — almost everything is faster to settle directly, and the dispute process above exists for exactly that. If we cannot resolve it between us, the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja have jurisdiction.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change materially affects you we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and continuing to use Prediqon after that means you accept it. A change to these terms never alters the terms of a challenge you have already entered — those were frozen when the challenge was published.

21. General

  • The whole agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy and the rules published on each challenge are the entire agreement between us about Prediqon.
  • If part fails. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
  • Not enforcing is not waiving. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
  • Transfer. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours if the business is sold or reorganised, and your rights are not reduced by that.
  • No partnership. These terms do not make either of us the other’s agent, partner or employee.
